    Part-Time Student
    Part-Time Student Accounts handles all student needs which include preferential interest rates, RepublicOnline, RepublicMobile App and RepublicMobile SMS access and a Student Guide on studying for exams and preparing a CV.

    Young Working Adult
    Accounts for Young Working Adults include many features and benefits tailored for persons in the working world such as attractive interest rates, free discount card and free financial counselling.

N.B:

1. Interest will be calculated on minimum monthly balances of $500 or more, and paid monthly on the 26th of each month, in the same period that it is earned.

2. A flat monthly fee of $12.01 entitles you to unlimited deposit and electronic debits (ABM, POS and teller fees may apply)




Rates for Young Working Adult Career Builder account:

The interest rate for Young Working Adult is currently 0.15%. Interest will be calculated on minimum monthly balances of $500 or more, and paid monthly on the 26th of each month, in the same period that it is earned.
What you will need

Before visiting our branches, ensure you have the following documents:


Full-Time Student and Part-Time Student Career Builder account

Be enrolled in a course/programme that runs for more than one (1) year.
Present two (2) valid forms of identification, e.g. National Identification Card, Passport or Driver's Licence (so that we can verify that you are between 19-25 years of age) as well as a letter of acceptance from the school.
Deposit a minimum of TT$100.00.
Present a recent utility bill/ Authorization Letter if Bill is not in your name


Young Working Adult Career Builder account

Present two (2) valid forms of identification, e.g. National Identification Card, Passport or Driver's Licence (so that we can verify that you are between 19-25 years of age) as well as a letter of acceptance from the school.
Deposit a minimum of TT$100.00.
Present a recent utility bill/ Authorization Letter if Bill is not in your name.
Job Letter
Pay slip
Reference letter (in some cases)


For Non-Residents or Foreign Based Nationals

Two (2) forms of valid photographic ID
Utility Bill in the customer’s name valid for three (3) months (Telephone, Electricity, Water, Cable/Internet)
N.B. Where the utility bill is not in the customer’s name, the customer can submit the lease agreement, where available, or a letter from the landlord addressed to the Bank.
Proof of income:

  1. Salaried individuals - Job Letter and a recent payslip dated within the last three (3) months
  2. Self-Employed individuals will be required to submit further financials;
    • Up-to-date Audited Financial Statements (for the last three (3) years) OR
    • Management Accounts (for the last three(3) years) OR
    • Statement of Affairs and Statement of Income & Expenditure (these are available at the Sales Department upon request)
    • For a start-up entity*: An opening Balance Sheet & Cash Flow projections
Reference letter from the customer’s bankers abroad (not required where a non-national has proof of legal status and has been residing in Trinidad and Tobago for over five (5) years)
Where applicable, Work Permit/ CSME Certificate/ Other official document granting permission for employment/ Letter of enrollment/acceptance from Institution in Trinidad & Tobago (for Students only)

*Start-up entity refers to entities which have been in operation for less than three (3) years.
