United as One: Republic Bank staff, along with their families, friends and students of QRC, pose for a photo after volunteering their services at the United Way Day of Caring 2015, held last Sunday.
Staff of Republic Bank Limited, their families and the students from Queen’s Royal College, came together last Sunday ( May 17) in unity and repainted the entire 80x40 interior and exterior of the Autistic Society Headquarters in D’Abadie, as part of United Way’s Day of Caring. Republic Bank were among the organistions that joined in and volunteered their services, to a number of projects nation-wide. Vinita Manoo, one of the Miss World 2015 delegates, also paid a courtesy call to the Society and volunteered her services.
The team who worked at the Society, braved the scorching sun and with rakes, shovels and forks in hand, replanted the sensory garden at Autism Place. At the end of the day, the place was transformed leaving behind loads of positive energy. Other branches which took part in the activities were Corporate Business Centre, (East) who refurbished the Grand Riviere A.C School’s library and its premises, while the staff over in Tobago, refurbished the libraries at Moriah Government Primary School and Scarborough S.D.A Primary School, under their theme “ Reading is our Superpower”.
Republic Bank was pleased to be part of this successful venture, as we continue to make a positive difference in the lives of communities in which we serve.
