In deep concentration: Republic Bank’s Economist, Economic Intelligence Unit (E.I.U) Garvin Joefield, is in deep concentration as he paints during the Habitat for Humanity Leaders Build, held last Saturday at the home of Ms. Alistair Thomas, located at #24, Ninth Avenue, Barataria. The Thomas’ family was robbed some years ago and her house burnt to the ground. With the help of Habitat for Humanity, a home was built and Thomas received the keys to her brand new house. Both the interior and exterior of the house were painted and a lime tree planted, as a symbol of new beginnings. The Bank’s collaboration with Habitat for Humanity forms part of its Power to Make a Difference commitment to alleviating the plight of the less fortunate, under its “Power to Help” umbrella.
